As an agency all our departments work holistically to achieve client objectives. We’re looking for a Senior Media Planner/Buyer to join our team and hit the ground running.

Responsibilities

The Senior Media Planner/Buyer is responsible for planning and managing media plans, leveraging and building vendor relationships, negotiating with media sales representatives, calculating rates and budgets, and ensuring that ads appear as specified. He/she will also work with internal tools and staff to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze campaign delivery and optimize performance on an ongoing basis.

  • The ability to listen to clients objectives and work with them to establish KPI’s that will measure their, and our, performance.
  • Develops strategic media plans and recommendations for client based on sound strategies and research
  • Formulate, write and present media campaigns and recommendations
  • Responsible for the day-to-day coordination/execution and management of media plans
  • Acts as the primary media expert for assigned clients and client service team
  • Works with multiple sources of analytics to be able to provide post-analysis of buys that include campaign results and buy recaps as well as optimization recommendations
  • Ensures that schedules are placed correctly and within budget; monitoring clearance daily when necessary
  • Writes POVs/position papers on media opportunities and sponsorships; evaluates and recommends to client when appropriate
  • Researches media trends for use in planning and presentation to internal teams
  • Presents media recommendations as part of an integrated strategy to clients or internal teams
  • Gathers and analyzes data to provide sound, strategic, consumer-insights driven media recommendations
  • Maintains accurate budget control and flow of media activity, and proactively, consistently updates client contact(s)

Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education
  • Must know Excel backward and forward
  • Google AdWords Certification
  • Solid knowledge of Facebook ads platform (keywords/demographics, etc)
  • Expert knowledge of Google Analytics
  • 5+ years of media planning experience in an advertising agency with all traditional and digital media
  • Well organized, detail oriented, with strict attention to detail
  • Good time management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Analytical and proactive thinker with a self-starter personality
  • Media vendor negotiation experience
